The Overview
Silence = Death
For this project we were assigned one of three different museums and tasked to create a unique and engaging exhibit for that museum. I was assigned the Met and decided to go a more risky route by choosing to make my exhibit about the more divisive works by Keith Haring. My target audience was younger queer individuals as way to specifically bring in the younger end of their audience into the museum.

The Imagery Direction

The imagery used in this project directly puts Keith Haring in the same focal point as the works he created. The message of this exhibit to not be silent in the face of adversity and create works that you stand by. This exhibit is about politics, pop culture, and undeniable wit, all things Keith Haring stands for so I chose to bring this out through the imagery. The pink is the main focal point of this system, it is in reference to the pink triange, a very important symbol in LGBTQ+ history and a common motif seen in Haring's work.
